  1. What was the craziest thing you did as a kid? -

The craziest thing I did when I was a small boy was stealing two goat legs from my kitchen and then went to the market to sell it to the butcher to get some money.

2. I heard you changed your name as a child. How? Why?

I had been home-schooled till Grade 7 and when I was getting admission to Grade 8 in a school, the admissions teacher asked what my name was and I said Kishor. Then the teacher said, "Okay, Kishor Babu". You want to know why I changed my name? Kishor Kumar was a very famous singer back then, so I changed my name to his name. My earlier name Sudarshan.

3. How was your life when you were studying in a university?

I got a government scholarship to study Electrical Engineering in the then Soviet Union that is now Russia. I studied there for almost seven years. First year I studied Russian language then 5 and a half years of engineering courses. Student life was amazing! We travelled a lot. We went to the Black Sea and to different cities in Europe.

4. What happened when you came back home?

I joined Department of Electricity of the Government of Nepal and worked in the capacity of an electrical engineer.

5. Did you receive any recognition from the country?

Yes. I got to 2 medals from the King Birendra of Nepal for high rank in education and 2 medals for excellence in professional work.

I had a great conversation with my Nana and learned many things that I did not know about him before. I really enjoyed learning all about the things he achieved and how he enjoyed his childhood. I hope you will also ask any member of your family about their stories and how they got where they are today.
